Intuitive Eating

Studies have shown that 90% of people who manage to lose weight while dieting will often regain it back within 5 years. This weight cycling has shown to have detrimental impacts on mental health and physical health. Dieting and weight cycling often lead to binge eating, disordered eating practices, weight gain, depression, negative body image, anxiety, loss of muscle tissue, chronic inflammation, heart disease and diabetes.  As an anti-diet dietitian I am committed to help my clients ditch the diet mentality, make peace with food, and heal their relationship with food. I work with my clients to set achievable goals to maintain their motivation, provide them with self-confidence so that you feel better physically and emotionally. I customize a nutrition plan that fits into their lifestyle and needs, allowing all foods to fit so they aren’t feeling deprived, starving, or fatigued. I provide up-to-date nutrition education and troubleshooting when obstacles or sabotages come their way.

Intuitive eating may be right for you if you are ready to:

  • Reject dieting and reclaim a calm and confident relationship with food
  • Reconnect with your body’s natural hunger and fullness cues
  • Honor your feelings and learn to cope with your emotions in ways that allow you to heal
  • Rediscover the pleasures of eating
  • Find sustainable exercise and movement that feels good
  • Honor your health with nutrition that makes you feel your best
  • Respect your body and find body positivity
